How to Pay for your Commission

PAYPAL ONLY. All work is started after I am paid in full. Do not pay me until we have discussed payment, and I have PayPal invoiced you correctly for all items. Once paid for, I will email you a rough sketch for initial approval, and then we go from there.

What to do if you want a Refund

No refunds unless I cannot complete the work. If I cannot complete the work, I will refund you in full. NOTE: The invoice I send will have an ETA attached to it just in case you decide to circumvent these rules you are agreeing to by commissioning me (I will fight any and all chargebacks with PayPal’s seller resources to resecure my paycheck).

What to do if you need me to make changes?

First 3 changes are free after the sketch is approved (changes during sketching phase are unlimited). Why only 3? Because I am working off of the sketch you approved. If you are making changes after the fact, that takes a lot of time and sometimes means I have to start over from the beginning. So after 3, they are $5ea alteration to the approved sketch material.

How do you come up with your prices?

My prices are based on the length of time each form of media takes me to produce a quality work. Each work I do will take multiple hours of work over several days (sometimes longer). I do research on characters, pour over references and bios, do multiple sketches until one is approved, and more. This takes time and energy – and it is part of the process you are paying for.

What to Expect

No physical product. I will give you a link to download the photos at completion. Your download will include a print and a web version. Photoshoots takes place on site – I have a mobile studio for indoor shoots, but I prefer outdoor photoshoots. Planning for and securing of the location is the responsibility of you. Plan on at least two hours for a session unless specified otherwise – I prefer more shots to pick from than not getting enough. I am okay with wardrobe changes – please let me know how many though!

How to Hire Me for a Photoshoot

Email me your date, time, and location, how many photos you expect to get, and the theme of the shoot (or type of event). I do not have a ton of time and will have to see if your plans match my schedule. I will get back to you within a day or two with an answer. Please do NOT email me in an emergency – it will still be a day or two before I can give you an answer. Sorry. The farther ahead you plan, the more likely I will be available for your event or photoshoot. Please note that for some photoshoots, I may require you to sign a model release form (for the under-18 club).

Watermark and Signature Removal – $100

This is a one-time fee to have me remove my watermark and/or signature from the work you have paid for (each – if you commission multiple works, this must be purchased for each work you want my branding removed from). Removing my branding does not give you copyrights or any additional rights to the works you did not already have.

Limited Commercial Licensing – $200

This one-time fee lets you sell your work for a profit (each – if you commission multiple works, this must be purchased for each work you want limited commercial rights to). I still own the copyright to the work and, unless we come to a differently contract before you start selling, can earn a portion of the proceeds you make. I default to 10% of what you make but have the right to change that at any time.

Purchase the Copyright to the Work – $300

This one time fee lets you do whatever you want with whatever work you purchase it for. I can’t touch you or your profits, have no say in where you post it and how you post it, and you can even claim you made it if you like. Keep in mind that this must be purchased for each work you commission if you purchase multiple works from me.

WordPress Website Building – $750

I will build you a wordpress website similar to mine, update it, create the branding for it, purchase the pro theme for it, and get your website set up and running (on JustHost if you don’t already have a host and url). I will teach you how to use it too. All you pay is the initial investment for the hosting and site name plus my fee.

Some sites besides mine I have done:   Artists Aware   |   Twin Oaks Ranch

By commissioning me, you agree to adhere to the NO REFUND policy, paying via PAYPAL in FULL before any work begins, that the license of the work belongs to me, and my 3-change policy.
